Sterling Silver & Cubic Zirconia
Of all the rings forged in the Second Age of Middle-earth, only three were made for the Elves alone — untouched by Sauron's hand, uncorrupted by his will. Nenya, the Ring of Water, was the most beautiful of these. Forged by Celebrimbor, the greatest Elven smith of his age, it was set with a white stone of such brilliance that Frodo himself could see it shining on Galadriel's finger in the twilight of Lothlórien — a star captured in silver.
This is the official licensed replica of Nenya, handcrafted in New Zealand by the authorised licence holders of New Line Productions. Cast from solid, nickel-free 925 sterling silver, with an intricate flowing design evoking the leaves and roots of the sacred Mallorn trees of Lothlórien, and set with a high-brilliance cubic zirconia, this is the most faithful wearable recreation of Galadriel's ring available.
Before the Shire existed, before Gondor rose from the sea, before even the kingdoms of men were counted old — Galadriel was already ancient. Born in Valinor in the Years of the Trees, she was among the most powerful of the Eldar: a queen of the Noldor, a student of the Valar, and the only Elf who bore the light of the Two Trees in her golden hair.
When Sauron came to the Elvish smiths of Eregion in disguise, calling himself Annatar, the Lord of Gifts, he taught them the craft of ring-making. Galadriel alone distrusted him from the outset. She counselled Celebrimbor to close his doors against the stranger — counsel that was, to Middle-earth's lasting cost, ignored.
When the One Ring was forged and Sauron's true purpose was revealed, Galadriel hid Nenya immediately. For three thousand years she used its power in secret — not to rule, but to preserve. The golden forest of Lothlórien, untouched by shadow even as the rest of Middle-earth darkened, was Nenya's gift to the world. Every tree, every leaf, every river of that realm was kept in a kind of enchanted stillness, as though time had paused to take a breath.
When Frodo offered her the One Ring in the mirror-garden of Caras Galadhon, she faced the greatest temptation of her age — and refused. It was, she said herself, the defining act of her existence. Not conquest. Not power. The quiet courage to remain herself.
A new generation has discovered Galadriel through Amazon Prime's The Rings of Power — the epic series set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, which places Galadriel at the very centre of the story. Here she is shown not as the serene Lady of Lothlórien familiar from the Peter Jackson films, but as a warrior and commander, driven and fierce, determined to find Sauron before he can rise to power.
Both portrayals are faithful to Tolkien's vision of the same extraordinary character across different centuries of her life. The Nenya replica captures the timeless version — the Galadriel of Lothlórien at the height of her power, keeper of the Ring of Water, the most powerful Elven ring-bearer in Middle-earth's history.
Whether you discovered Galadriel through the films, The Rings of Power, or Tolkien's own writings, Nenya is her defining symbol — the ring she chose, wore, and ultimately sacrificed, so that Middle-earth could be free.
Nenya has been one of our most gifted pieces for over two decades — and it is easy to understand why. It is unmistakeably beautiful to anyone who sees it, whether they know Tolkien or not. The intricate Mallorn leaf setting, the cage-set stone that catches the light, the weight of solid sterling silver — it wears as a piece of fine jewellery long before it announces itself as a LOTR collectible.
For Valentine's Day, it carries a meaning that goes beyond the occasion: a ring associated with preservation, protection, and the quiet strength of enduring love. Galadriel wore Nenya for three thousand years. There are worse symbols to give someone you love.
It is equally beloved as a birthday gift, a Christmas present, a graduation gift, or simply a treat for a Tolkien fan who deserves something genuinely special. Every ring arrives in a branded Lord of the Rings presentation pouch — already gift-ready, no wrapping required.
Many people choose Nenya as an engagement ring, and the symbolism is genuinely fitting. Galadriel and Celeborn's love lasted across seven thousand years, through war, exile, separation, and loss, without diminishing. Nenya itself is a ring of preservation, of keeping what is beautiful and true against the forces that want to consume it. A ring associated with the most enduring love in Tolkien's legendarium, made in the metal of starlight, chosen for what it represents rather than merely for how it looks: there are worse foundations for a commitment. The official Nenya is available in solid sterling silver with a white gold finish and in solid 9ct white gold, both made in New Zealand by the New Line Productions licence holders.
Each Nenya is set with a high-brilliance cubic zirconia chosen to reflect a different aspect of Galadriel's character and the ring's symbolism. All three stones are cage-set into the silver for security — they are part of the ring's structure, not a surface addition.
Every Nenya is custom-cast to order in New Zealand by the official licence holders — not mass-produced from imported stock. The intricate Mallorn leaf design requires skilled handwork that cannot be replicated by mass manufacturing. The difference between this ring and an unbranded import is immediately apparent in the hand.

Nenya is crafted from solid 925 sterling silver with a cage-set cubic zirconia — both require specific care to maintain their Elven brilliance. The intricate Mallorn leaf design needs a little more attention than a plain band, but the results are well worth it.
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush with a small drop of mild dish soap to gently clean between the Mallorn leaf patterns and behind the cage-set stone where residue can collect. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry immediately with a lint-free cloth.
Use a soft silver polishing cloth on the smooth areas of the ring. Avoid abrasive pastes or rough cloths — the detailed outer design can trap paste residue and scratches on fine raised areas are difficult to reverse.
Cubic zirconia is hard and durable but can become cloudy if coated in oils, lotions, or soap residue. The toothbrush cleaning method above will keep the stone sparkling. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners as vibration can loosen cage-set stones over time.
Remove your ring before using hand sanitiser, cleaning products, chlorine, or salt water. Harsh alcohols and chlorine accelerate tarnish in sterling silver and can dull the surface finish around the leaf detail.
Store in the provided presentation pouch when not worn — this limits air exposure and slows tarnish. For longer storage, a small zip-lock bag or anti-tarnish strip alongside the pouch will extend the time between cleans significantly.
Put your ring on after applying perfume, hand cream, or sunscreen — not before. Remove it before gym sessions or activities involving hard impacts. The intricate leaf design, while beautifully detailed, can be susceptible to snagging if worn during manual tasks.
Galadriel was a mighty elven queen known as the Lady of Lothlorien and one of the greatest magical beings in Middle-earth. She was the wife of Celeborn, the lord of Lothlorien, and a close ally of the hobbits Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee during their quest to destroy the One Ring.
Galadriel was born in the First Age, making her one of the oldest characters in the Lord of the Rings. She was a Noldorin elf, a noble and highly skilled race of elves known for their great knowledge and expertise in magic. Galadriel was also a distant relative of Lúthien, the greatest of all elven women, who was renowned for her beauty and bravery.
Galadriel was also known for her great beauty and her golden hair
Galadriel played a crucial role in the Lord of the Rings events. She was one of the few people who knew the true nature of the One Ring and the dark lord Sauron's plan to use it to conquer Middle-earth. She also helped the hobbits, particularly Frodo, in their journey to destroy the Ring by giving them essential gifts and counsel.
Galadriel was also known for her great beauty and her golden hair, which was said to glow with an otherworldly light. She was also said to have the ability to see into the future and to read the thoughts of others. Some even believed that she had the power to bend time itself.
Galadriel was a powerful and wise figure
There are many myths and legends surrounding Galadriel, including the story of how she acquired her magical ring, Nenya, which was one of the three elven rings of power. She received the ring from the elven smith Celebrimbor, who had been entrusted with its creation by the godlike being known as the Valar. The ring granted Galadriel great power and helped her to preserve the beauty and peace of Lothlorien, the enchanted forest over which she ruled.
Overall, Galadriel was a powerful and wise figure in the Lord of the Rings, and her counsel and aid were instrumental in the quest to defeat Sauron and bring peace to Middle-earth.
