We use Zirconium for the Strata’s inlay because of its incredible physical properties.
- Extreme Durability: Zirconium is a grey metal similar to Titanium. When heat-treated, it forms a black oxide layer that is nearly as hard as diamond or sapphire. This ensures the black finish is not just a coating—it is part of the metal itself and will not peel or flake.
- Hypoallergenic: Just like the gold casing, Zirconium is completely nickel-free and hypoallergenic, making it safe for sensitive skin.
